H.J. Pratt started Pratt Plumbing Company on January 1, 1963 with three crisp new $100 bills. He worked out of his house and an old Chevrolet truck, affectionately called “Ole Blue.” After two years of hard work, he bought his first new van and hired his first employee. It took many long and devoted hours to establish the reputation Pratt Plumbing has to this day. He and his wife Ernestine worked out of their home until 1972 when they purchased the current location at 3502 E. 11th. For 38 years, H.J. serviced the plumbing needs of many satisfied customers. His daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Hans, have now purchased the business and the name has proudly been passed from one generation to the next.

Gary and Tricia Hans

Gary and Tricia Hans are proud to own and run Pratt Plumbing. Tricia grew up with the business, and her husband, Gary, worked with the company for 20 years before the couple bought it in 2001. The Hans family spent many years in Portland, Oregon before returning to Amarillo to carry on the family name. Tricia recently left her 25-year career as an audiologist to join the business full time. Gary, growing up on a farm in Nebraska, is no stranger to hard work and the belief in treating people in an honest and fair manner. He started in the trenches, so to speak, and has earned the respect of not only their employees, but customers as well.

Andrea Garcia

Andrea is our receptionist/dispatcher. She can make your problems seem to go away after a pleasant conversation with her. Andrea brings to our customers the willingness to share their plumbing concerns and strives to provide prompt service.
